Hunter’s Moon

This is where I shall give you all the detail of how ‘Hunter’s Moon’ is coming along. It has been the fixed title of the album for a couple of years now. The title track is, as usual with MJB, a little miserable, though it is one of the very few murder ballads I’ve written.

A few months ago I started to work with my friend Peter Hawkey on arrangements for some of the tracks. The more we play the more excited I become to get them recorded and out into the world. The aim is to get the recording finalised by the end of February 2026, sent off to Skye to be mastered and then, all being well, I can get out with Sharon’s help and gig the album before its release.

All this is, of course, very much dependent upon the state of my head. Working with depression is one of those strange situations where plans normally finalised and ‘set in stone’ become fluid very quickly. At the moment, however, I’m in a really good place and feeling quite positive about the next few months.

I’d like to thank everyone who has encouraged me to get these songs recorded and available to anyone who has the good grace to buy them. You are all amazing.
